About this work

The Clifton Suspension Bridge spans the Avon Gorge and River Avon, linking Clifton with Leigh Woods. Opened in 1864, the Grade I-listed landmark was based on Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s design and completed by William Henry Barlow and John Hawkshaw.
