The archive

Bristol Archive is an independent photographic record and is not Bristol City Council, a transport operator, Google, Apple or an emergency service. Information is provided for general cultural, historical and discovery purposes.

Permitted use

You may browse and link to public pages for personal, non-commercial use. You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, evade security or rate limits, scrape it at a disruptive scale, misrepresent archive content, or use it unlawfully.

Photographs and intellectual property

Unless an item states otherwise, archive photographs, design, text, branding and software are protected by copyright and other rights. Viewing an item does not transfer ownership or grant permission to reproduce, publish, sell, train a model on, or commercially exploit it.

For licensing or reuse requests, contact hdofil@outlook.com. Third-party names, artworks, logos and linked materials remain the property of their owners.

Accounts and contributions

You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Registration information must be accurate and must not impersonate another person.

You retain ownership of material you submit. By submitting profile information, images, captions, attribution suggestions or other contributions for publication, you confirm you have the necessary rights and grant Bristol Archive a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize, display and distribute it as part of operating and promoting the archive.

We may review, refuse, edit, unpublish or remove contributions or accounts where reasonably necessary for accuracy, safety, rights protection or administration.

Maps, routes and external services

Locations may be approximate, historic or incomplete. Bus routes and timetable links can change and must be checked with the relevant operator. Map directions are provided by Apple or Google and should not be relied on where conditions make a route unsafe or inaccessible.

External websites and services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability or actions.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the archive useful and accurate, but do not guarantee that content is complete, current, error-free or continuously available. Content may be changed or removed and features suspended without notice.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, Bristol Archive is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by reliance on archive, route or timetable information, or loss arising from third-party services. Mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.

Ending access and changes

We may restrict access where these terms are breached or where necessary to protect the service or others. We may update these terms as the archive changes. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear disputes. Questions can be sent to hdofil@outlook.com.
