Behind its 1908 front lies a 17th-century timber-framed house, one of the older survivors on Bristol's High Street. The refronting by J. H. Hirst added Art Nouveau-style carved pilasters and a three-storey canted bay, while a 17th-century winder stair and moulded doorway survive inside. It is Grade II-listed and now used as a shop and offices.
