Nicknamed the 'Wedding Cake Church' for its tiered tower, St Paul's on Portland Square was built between 1789 and 1794 to designs by Daniel Hague. The Grade I-listed Georgian church closed in 1988 and passed to the Churches Conservation Trust. Since 2005 it has been home to Circomedia, a circus school and performance space, in Bristol's St Paul's district.
