About this work
The Central Electric Lighting Station in Bristol was built at Temple Back by St Philip's Bridge in 1893. It provided Bristol's first public electricity supply, initially powering the Industrial and Fine Arts Exhibition. Parts of the historic brick façade survive today, integrated into modern office developments.
