Originally called the Council House, Bristol's City Hall on College Green was designed in Neo-Georgian style by Vincent Harris. Work began in the late 1930s, stopped during the Second World War, and the building was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1956. The Grade II*-listed building is topped by gilded unicorns and was renamed City Hall in 2012.
