This round bastion in the gardens of Goldney House, Clifton, was built in 1753–57 by the Bristol merchant Thomas Goldney as part of his decorative landscape. In Gothick style with a crenellated parapet, it is linked by a raised walk to a round summer house, and the group is Grade II*-listed.
