Purifier House belonged to the gasworks at Canon's Marsh on Bristol's harbourside, where it was used to remove impurities from the gas made on site. Gas production continued until the 1950s and the works had closed by the 1970s. One of three Grade II-listed gasworks buildings kept during redevelopment, it has been converted into homes.
