Rupert Street Car Park

Rupert Street car park was built between 1959 and 1960 by the Multidek Development Group to designs by R. Jelinek-Karl, with engineers G. C. Mander and Partners. Elliptical in plan, its six decks are linked by a half-mile continuous spiral ramp, which the Twentieth Century Society describes as the first of its kind in England. It is one of Bristol's earliest multi-storey car parks.
