Richard Shackleton Pope designed this Neoclassical church in 1839-40 for the Catholic Apostolic Church, whose Irvingite congregation could not afford it. Catholics bought it in 1843 and dedicated it as St Mary on the Quay. Now on Colston Avenue, it once faced open harbour water, which was covered over in 1893. It is Grade II*-listed.
