About this work
Brunel's Old Bristol Station was built in 1839–41 by Isambard Kingdom Brunel for the Great Western Railway and formed Bristol’s original railway terminus. The distinctive façade is designed in a Tudor Revival style, with crenellated parapets, octagonal turrets, mullioned windows and a projecting oriel window.
