About this work
Holy Trinity Almshouses, Old Market, Bristol — a striking Grade II* listed complex originally founded in 1402 by John Barstaple. Much of the present building was reconstructed between 1857 and 1883 by Bristol architects Foster and Wood, using Pennant stone with limestone dressings and steep tiled roofs.
