B Bond was completed in 1908 as a bonded tobacco warehouse for the Port of Bristol, the middle of three such warehouses by Cumberland Basin. It was the first major building in Britain to use Edmond Coignet's reinforced concrete system. The nine-storey, Grade II-listed block on Smeaton Road now houses Bristol Archives and the Create Centre.
