Brooks Dye Works

Brooks Dye Works in St Werburghs was the base of Brooks Dyers and Cleaners, whose laundry and dye works operated on the site for well over a century before closing in 2007. Many of its workers lived in the terraced streets of St Werburghs and St Pauls. The site has since been redeveloped as housing, with the works' 19th-century brick chimney kept as its landmark centrepiece.
